AliDeck has welcomed senior representatives from the Aluminium Federation (ALFED) to its headquarters in Kent, showcasing the company’s commitment to British manufacturing, sustainability, innovation and workforce development.
Established in 2019, AliDeck has grown rapidly and now employs almost 100 people at its headquarters on Medway City Estate in Rochester. Specialising in aluminium extrusions, the company designs and manufactures aluminium decking systems and balcony components for high-rise balcony manufacturers, construction firms, steel fabricators and architects across the UK and Ireland.
The visit saw ALFED Chief Executive Officer Nadine Bloxsome and Industry & Skills Development Manager Rachel Wiffen meet with AliDeck’s leadership team to learn more about the business’s growth, manufacturing capabilities and future ambitions. Discussions focused on the company’s Made in Britain approach, sustainable manufacturing practices, product innovation and investment in skills development.
During a tour of the site, the ALFED team gained insight into AliDeck’s operations and explored a range of industry topics, including sustainability challenges, aluminium recycling, resource efficiency, manufacturing innovation and the role of skills and training in supporting long-term sector growth. The visit also highlighted opportunities for closer collaboration between AliDeck and ALFED through specialist industry groups and joint initiatives.
Following the visit, Nadine Bloxsome said:
“It was a pleasure to visit AliDeck and see first-hand the passion, investment and expertise that underpin the business. The company’s commitment to UK manufacturing, innovation and sustainability demonstrates the important role that forward-thinking aluminium businesses play in supporting economic growth and the transition to a more sustainable future.
We were particularly encouraged by AliDeck’s focus on continuous improvement, skills development and creating long-term value for customers and the wider industry.”
Mark Wood, Founder and Chairman of AliDeck, added:
“We were delighted to welcome Nadine and Rachel to AliDeck and share more about our journey, our people and our vision for the future.
Sustainability, innovation and British manufacturing are at the heart of everything we do, and it was valuable to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing our industry. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with ALFED and working together on initiatives that support the growth and long-term success of the UK aluminium sector.”
The visit also covered key industry developments, including sustainability initiatives and AliDeck’s recent approval of its Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). Skills training, workforce development and the evolving regulatory landscape for aluminium manufacturers were also discussed. Both organisations recognised the importance of collaboration in sharing best practice, addressing common challenges and supporting the future growth of the sector.
